Leadership has been a fascination for me for over 20 years. It started when I began to realise the vast difference in team efficiency between effective and ineffective leadership. (My earliest recollection of poor leadership was at age 9, having been named captain of my rugby team, and not having a clue what I was meant to do! Most young leaders find it extremely hard to be authentic. There is just too much hype about a million important traits of leaders that con us into trying to fit each characteristic into our everyday selves. Its just impossible. But authentic leaders, those who can......

If I had to pick out of the top 3 most important leadership traits I’d definitely pick emotional intelligence. I’d even forgo vision, communication and resilience. Why? because people simply will not follow people who cannot read their or their group’s emotional well being. ‘Leaders’ who......

My mind has been preoccupied lately with the importance of discipling people towards maturity in Christ. Now this may sound obvious, but as I look around I see churches filled with congregations that are way too shallow in their faith for their time spent flowing......

Servant-leadership – the No. 1 leadership trait of Jesus. Picture the scene: things were hotting up in Jerusalem. Jesus, fresh from having raised Lazarus from the dead (an astounding miracle that was spoken of widely by many in the region) had just entered Jerusalem. Palm......
